Merritt Tops 200m Field in Italy

  • by

He doesn't have as much experience in the half lap, as he does in the 400m, but when you're LaShawn Merritt, one of the world's fastest men, sometimes experience is secondary.

With a time of 20.13 in the 200-meter dash, LaShawn won his first final of 2011 in Rieti, Italy on Saturday.

The Season is Upon Us

  • by

Our season is almost here and I'm chomping at the bit for Sunday to get here to see what we can do as a team. I'm really excited about the possibilities.

Personally, I feel primed and ready to start the season off really fast. I really feel comfortable right now with the work that we've put in.

A year after nearly making the playoffs, No. 39 and his teammates enter the 2011-12 NFL intent on doing even better. For Steven, that means leading even more effectively -- on and off the field -- than ever before.

I set goals for myself each and every year. I believe that each person should be goal-oriented and should seek to accomplish things that they dream of.

Starter or Sixth Man?

  • by

Lamar Odom's value to the Los Angeles Lakers is undeniable.

The NBA's reigning Sixth Man of the Year, Lamar deftly leads LA's bench mob. But he's also in a position to step into the starting lineup at a moment's notice, and has done an incredible job when asked to start over the last few seasons.

The versatility and talent that LO brings to the Lakers are so vital that it's fair to wonder: Is No. 7 best suited in his current reserve role, or as a starter who can make the most of that talent for 40 minutes per night?
