Spring Bling is BET's annual on-air party to bring in the summer, and airs over April 16 and 17 this year.

Rehab, Feeling Fortunate and Monopoly

It's been a rollercoaster, but that's what life is about sometimes.

The surgery went great. I’m still in my first week of rehab. It was a quick surgery, only lasted about 45 minutes, but overall, it’s healthy now. I had it done at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. Dr. Altchek was the one who performed the procedure.

A Class of Their Own

It was one of the most highly anticipated races of the 2010 IAAF World Indoor Championships, if not the entire track season and the 60m hurdles final did not disappoint.

Terrence Trammell was the favorite going into Doha, Qatar, and ran his best race in a year where he's already racked up four titles, but came up just short of defeating 2008 Olympic Champion Dayron Robles.

Terrence to Face Old Foe in Doha

In order to capture the 60m hurdles gold at the IAAF World Indoor Championships later this month, Terrence Trammell will have to hurdle over an old foe.

Former World and Olympic champion Liu Xiang of China confirmed this week that he will compete alongside Terrence in the 60m hurdles at the competition, which begins a week from Friday, March 12-14 in Doha, Qatar.

Breast Cancer: A Cause Close to Home

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and for Rashad McCants and his family, the subject hits very close to home.

Rashad’s mother Brenda was diagnosed with breast cancer while Rashad was starring on the hardwood at the University of North Carolina. As he told the Herald-Sun:

“When I heard the news, we were playing Duke at home,” said Rashad McCants, 25, who was a junior at UNC and a star on the Tar Heel basketball team. “It just kind of hit.”

Rashad the Rocket?

After waiting all summer to select his next home, Rashad McCants is headed to the Lone Star State.

Rashad accepted an offer today to join the Houston Rockets in training camp where he will vie for a spot on the Rockets roster. The Houston Chronicle and Houston’s Fox Television affiliate both confirmed the deal.

RM had reportedly garnered interest from several teams including the Miami Heat, the Denver Nuggets and the Charlotte Bobcats. He averaged 9.6 points per game last season.

Shanghai Success

It might not have had the allure or competition of the world championships, but for LaShawn Merritt, it marked another win in an undefeated season.

LaShawn took first at the Shanghai Golden Grand Prix on Sunday, winning the 400m in a time of 45.28.

LaShawn Merritt closed off a fine season with a solid run to win the men’s 400m dash and he now prepares for a well deserved six weeks rest before pre-season.

"I'm a Hard Worker, and Want to Win"

In a recent interview with the Charlotte News-Observer, Rashad made his professional goals clear: He wants to be part of a winning team, and is willing to put in the work to get there.

As he explained to Robbi Pickeral:

I’m not a guy who thinks he’s better than anybody else. I’m a winner. I know what it takes to win; I’m confident in my ability to win. I do whatever it takes to get the job done.
